Casa Victoria

The Story

Casa Victoria was created for Victoria147, the business academy founded by Ana Victoria García to support women entrepreneurs as they launch, grow, and expand their companies.

Ana Victoria and I worked closely to define what the space should feel like. It needed to support learning, meetings, and collaboration, while reflecting the personality of Victoria147: confident, sophisticated, creative, and approachable.

The Challenge

The challenge was finding the right balance.

Casa Victoria was an academy, but we didn't want it to feel institutional. It needed to function as a serious learning environment while still feeling relaxed, welcoming, and full of personality.

Each space also had different needs — from classrooms and meeting rooms to shared areas — so the design had to work operationally while still feeling like one cohesive place.

Our Role

I was responsible for the complete project, from design through construction and installation.

This included interior design, construction direction, finishes, lighting, custom furniture, and the coordination of the different elements needed to bring the space together.

The Process

The project developed through an ongoing dialogue with Ana Victoria about how the women using Casa Victoria would actually experience the space.

We used warm woods, deep colors, exposed brick, varied furniture, and residential details to create rooms that felt comfortable without becoming casual. Each area developed its own character while remaining part of the same visual language.

The result was a space that could accommodate the practical needs of an academy while expressing something much more personal.

What We Learned

Casa Victoria reinforced something I've carried into many projects since: understanding how a space needs to feel is just as important as understanding how it needs to function.

Once those two things are clear, the design decisions become much easier.
